Secondary Area of Study: 12-24 semester hours


Area of Concentration: 12 hours of advisor approved upper division studies.
Course selection will be tailored to each student's educational objectives.
* Students may choose to complete a minor or additional major and would consult with the offering department for that program.  Minors typically consist of 15-24 credit hours of courses as defined by the academic department.

General Education Foundation of Knowledge: 37 semester hours

* All students are required to complete the General Education Foundation of Knowledge requirements as outlined in the NKU catalog (implemented Fall 2010).

Leadership Foundation Track: 12 semester hours

Students entering the Organizational Leadership program with less than 60 previously earned credit hours of college level coursework must complete the following secondary classes (four) in the Organizational Leadership Foundation track (Fall 2012 catalog forward):
-- LDR 117 Introduction to Supervision (3 hrs.) a lower division elective
-- LDR 160 Leadership Around the World (3 hrs.) a lower division elective
-- LDR 205 Human Relations in Organizations (3 credit hours) a lower division elective
-- LDR 394 Special Topics may be repeated for up to 12 credit hours if topics differ
 
Required Prerequisites:
--PSY 100  Introduction to Psychology (3 hrs.)
--STA 205 Introduction to Statistical Methods (3 hrs.)

Electives: 14-26 semester hours*

*The degree includes approximately 14-26 semester hours of electives (total number will vary based on student's choice of secondary area of study and/or transfer or other existing earned credit)

Popular LDR elective options include the Foundation Track Courses and Practicum:

-- LDR 301 Leadership Practicum (3 hrs.) may complete up to 9 hours with advisor approval
